Disability service priorities
The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) outlines the Department's disability services priorities for the period 2007 - 2012.As required by the Disability Services Act 1993, the plan ensures:
- People with disabilities have equal access to the Department’s offices, facilities, services and any events it may hold
- People with disabilities receive information from the department in a format that will enable them to readily access and understand it
- People with disabilities receive an equal level and quality of service from the Department’s employees
- People with disabilities have equal opportunities to make complaints to the Department
- People with disabilities have equal opportunities to participate in any public consultation.

Reporting requirements for State Government contractors
The Disability Services Commission website (external website) provides resources for State Government Contractors and Contract Managers. These resources explain the reporting requirements for State Government contractors under the Disability Services Act 1993. The website also includes:- The Contractor Report template to assist contractors in recording access activities in the desired areas of their contracting agency's DAIP
- Guidelines to assist Contract Managers in implementing the reporting requirements for State Government Agents and Contractors.
