Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
The Department is committed to ensuring accessibility for all members of the community to the Department’s facilities, services and information.
In order to ensure all members of the community have equal access to our facilities, services and information, the Department has developed a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP).
Publication
The DAIP outlines the Department's disability services priorities for the period 2007 - 2012. As required by the Disability Services Act 1993, the Department's DAIP ensures:
- People with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to access the Department’s offices, facilities, services and any events it may hold;
- People with disabilities receive information from the department in a format that will enable them to access and understand it as readily as other people are able to access and understand it;
- People with disabilities receive the same level and quality of service from the Department’s employees as other people receive;
- People with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to make complaints to the Department; and
- People with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to participate in any public consultation.
If you require this report in an alternative format (eg large print, Braille, audio tape, electronic format etc) please contact us.
