Coastal infrastructure planning and development
The Department is responsible for planning and development of coastal infrastructure, including:
- Investigation of the need for new maritime facilities and enhancements to existing facilities
- Planning and design;
- Provision of a regulatory and advisory role
- The Recreational Boating Facilities Scheme (RBFS)
- Developing concept plans, feasibility studies and business cases;
- Project managing the delivery of facilities
- Providing technical input and direction for project delivery.
