Pens at Albany and Geraldton

The Department of Transport has received a significant number of enquiries from boat owners and prospective boat owners, seeking boat pens at the Albany Waterfront Marina and the Batavia Coast Marina in Geraldton.

Albany Waterfront Marina

The Albany Waterfront Marina was officially opened in July 2011 with the construction of 70 floating boat pens being completed prior to the opening. The pens are available on an annual basis and sizes range from 10m to 20m in length.

In order to secure a boat pen licence, the completed application form and payment must be submitted to the DoT Great Southern Regional Office at 178 Stirling Terrace, Albany.

Batavia Coast Marina (Geraldton)

The construction of 42 floating boat pens within the Batavia Coast Marina at Geraldton was completed in August 2011. The pen sizes range from 12 m to 22 m.
