Opening hours

Unless otherwise stated, Department of Transport Centres are open between the hours of 8:15 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

• Computerised Theory Tests (CTT) and Hazard Perception Tests (HPT) must be commenced before 3.45pm at Department of Transport Centres

Notes concerning Australia Post outlets:

• Limited licensing services are available at Australia Post outlets.
• These outlets exclude practical driver assessments and vehicle inspections.
• Computerised Theory Tests (CTT) and Hazard Perception Tests (HPT) must be commenced before 3.30 pm.
• Please contact Post Office for licensing services hours.

Licensing services at two CBD Australia Post Offices

You can now access the driver and vehicle services at two Perth CBD Australia Post retail outlets:

• Driver’s licence renewals
• Vehicle licence renewals
• Change of address
• Theory test
• Hazard perception test
• Temporary movement permit purchase
• Vehicle ownership transfer
• Buy optional vehicle licence plates.

You can complete these transactions at the following Australia Post retail outlets:

• 1195 Hay Street, West Perth (corner of Emerald Terrace)
• 66 St Georges Terrace, Perth (in London Court)
