The WA Taxi Driver Competency Standards were introduced on 1 July 2000 and form the basis of the training program for new taxi drivers.

About the code of conduct

The WA Taxi Driver Competency Standards were introduced on 1 July 2000 and form the basis of the training program for new taxi drivers.

• The competency standards aim to better equip taxi drivers with the required knowledge and skills to deliver a higher level of service to taxi customers.
• The standards are made up of units from the National Transport and Distribution Training Package and customised to ensure that they are relevant to the Perth taxi industry.
