The Department of Transport Walking Unit encourages organisations to host a Walk There Today display. The Walking and Access Unit offers the opportunity to set up walking displays throughout the year whether it is a static display at your local library, the reception at your office or a manned display at a local government expo. The purpose of hosting a walking display is to raise public awareness of the Walk There Today message and distribute walking information. A Walk There Today display plays an active role in promoting Walk Week and encourages Western Australians to replace their short car trips with a short walk instead. |
