Walking displays
A big thank you goes out from the Walking Unit to those who assisted in the promotion of Walk Week 2008 by setting up walking displays.
Over the last two months, 60 Workplaces, libraries, shopping centres and schools across the State have set up walking displays to promote Walk Week 2008. These displays were great opportunities for the general community to get hold of the new and improved Walking Guide Book, walking brochures and free merchandise such lanyards and key rings while promoting the benefits of walking.
Hosting a walking display
The Walking Unit offers the wider community the opportunity to set up walking displays throughout the year within your places of work, school, library or at community events. To host a display you will need to provide a table and display board, as well as set the display up. The Walking Unit will provide the relevant display stock, however it is the responsibility of the organisation who requests the display to arrange collection of the stock.
Register you interest in hosting a walking display using the online Display Request Form.
Complete the display satisfaction survey.
Please be mindful, that in some buildings you may need to contact your building manager to seek permission to put up a display.
