Each number plate issued must be a unique combination of characters and issued in the series the character set has been allocated.

If you have received a supplementary message 'Restricted to xxxxxxxxxx' then the plate characters are only available under the Plate series shown in the message.

The Director General reserves the right to refuse any application considered or perceived to be offensive or contentious (eg anti road safety, sexual, violent, drug related, perverse, racial), trade marked (including vehicle make or model), or for any other reason.
