  Check my rego

You can find out when your WA vehicle licence (rego) expires by using one of the following options.

  Book a Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) online

Online bookings can be made for driving tests (Practical Driving Assessments), which are conducted at most Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) centres or regional DoT offices or agents. You can book and manage your PDA by using one of the following options:

1. Use this online tool. You will need your WA driverís licence/Permit and expiry date using this option.

  Transfer vehicle ownership

As the buyer or seller, you can transfer a vehicle online via your DoTDirect account. Online vehicle transfers are available to individuals only and you will need the vehicle details and the seller or purchaserís details.

Note: Some vehicles cannot be transferred online. These include vehicles that are:

  • Part of a court order or deceased estate.
  • To be jointly owned.
  • Being transferred between spouses or de facto partners.
  • Heavy vehicles.
  • Issued with optional plates.

If you submit your transfer online, you do not need to provide a transfer form to DoT but you may wish to obtain proof of purchase documents for your own records.

  Get a temporary movement permit

A temporary movement permit allows you to move an unlicensed vehicle to be inspected for the purpose of licensing or repairs prior to licensing.

  Change my WA address and contact details online

Individuals

For individuals, you can change your address and contact details online by one of the following options.

1. Use this online tool. You will need to provide your full name, date of birth, an email address, driverís licence number and expiry date, and vehicle plate number of a vehicle you own:

2. Register and login to your DoTDirect account to view and update.

Your change of address via DoTDirect will apply to all of the vehicles registered in your name. If you wish to nominate a different mailing address for specific vehicle(s), please contact us on 13 11 56.

Organisations and businesses

For organisations, you can change your address and contact details online. Use he buttons above to register and log in to your DoTDirect organisation account or read the FAQs to find out how to register an online account for your organisation. 

If you have previously nominated a different mailing address for one or more of your vehicles, please contact us to ensure the changes are applied to all of your vehicles.

  Check my demerit points

Demerit points can be accrued for a range of driving offences. The issue of demerit points is a national initiative to encourage safe and responsible driving. You can check your current demerit points total using one of the following options.

  Sign up for Licence Alert

Licence Alert is a free service that lets you know via SMS or email when your WA driver licence or vehicle licence is near expiry. You can use the service using one of the following options:
