2013-15 RADS grants funding round - Update 1

The 2013-15 RADS funding round closed on Friday 22 February 2013. There were a total of 57 applications received requesting grants of over $14.6 million for projects totaling $25.9 million.  The number of applications and total grant amounts requested per region is shown below:

Gascoyne

  • Applications: 6
  • Total grant amount requested: $1,947,192

Goldfields/Esperance

  • Applications: 7
  • Total grant amount requested: $727,556

Great Southern

  • Applications: 3
  • Total grant amount requested: $1,366,848

Kimberley

  • Applications: 13
  • Total grant amount requested: $2,563,914

Midwest

  • Applications: 9
  • Total grant amount requested: $1,619,400

Peel

  • Applications: 0
  • Total grant amount requested: $0

Pilbara

  • Applications: 3
  • Total grant amount requested: $1,537,113

South West

  • Applications: 4
  • Total grant amount requested: $1,557,969

Wheatbelt

There were a range of application received and the RADS staff would like to thank all of those organisations that submitted applications and wish them all the best . Applications are now being assessed and announcements of successful, reserve list and unsuccessful grantees will be made later in 2013.

RADS provides funding assistance to enhance airport planning and develop common user transport infrastructure which the local government or private sector cannot fully fund. DoT, in consultation with the RADS Consultative Committee, will evaluate applications and make recommendations for approval to the Minister for Transport.
