Land leased at a Department of Transport managed coastal facility may be used for harbour purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Fishing industry and related activities.
  • Retail.
  • Hospitality and tourism.
  • Marine support services.
  • Community groups.
  • Registered clubs, including yachting and sailing clubs.

Leasing opportunities: Bunbury

The Department of Transport is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the repurposing of three large industrial sheds within Casuarina Boat Harbour, as a component of Transforming Bunbury’s Waterfront Stage 3.

Proposals will be considered that deliver new commercial activities into the harbour to assist in the activation of the precinct alongside the development of new maritime facilities.

Submissions meeting the requirements of the EOI document are required to be submitted and received by the Department before 2pm (AWST), Thursday 30 May 2024.

  Leasing opportunity: Carnarvon

Carnarvon

Expressions of interest are invited for several unimproved land lots or improved lots with various existing buildings available for lease at Carnarvon. These are suitable for a range of harbour purposes, such as marine services, tourism and commercial/retail development.

Interested parties should provide information on:

  • Proposed use of the land.
  • Development plans.
  • Evidence of financial capacity.
  • Details of experience in the business operations planned.

  Leasing opportunity: Jurien Bay

Jurien Boat Harbour

Expressions of interest are invited for several unimproved land lots or improved lots with existing buildings and various infrastructure available for lease at Jurien Boat Harbour. These are suitable for a range of harbour purposes, such as marine services, aquaculture, tourism and commercial/retail development.

Interested parties should provide information on:

  • Proposed use of the land.
  • Development plans.
  • Evidence of financial capacity.
  • Details of experience in the business operations planned.

  Leasing opportunity: Onslow Beadon Creek

The Beadon Creek Maritime Facility in Onslow was originally designed for recreational, fishing and charter operations. However, extensive growth of the resources sector in the Pilbara region has led to increased demand for maritime support services and industries.

The Department of Transport released more land at the facility for development.

Currently, a limited number of (non waterfront) lots are available for long term lease.
