Narrator: WA's a massive state and helping people move around and connect, however they choose, is at the heart of what the Department of Transport does.

Narrator: Waiting in line takes time, that's why we're offering more of our services online but if you do have to see us, we're ready to help and keep you moving.

Narrator: We process thousands of secure transactions every week, ensure vehicles are safe and provide options to move our state towards a greener future.

Narrator: We're responsible for ensuring new drivers have the skills and confidence they need to be safe and aware road users - this one even knows how to merge!

Narrator: We also regulate taxi, rideshare and other pre-booked transport services, providing more choices for you to get around safely and easily.

Narrator: Want to be more active, stay fit or do your bit for the environment? We're making it easier to improve your wellbeing by expanding shared paths for you to use and enjoy across WA.

Narrator: Our regional and remote teams travel thousands of kilometres every year. They work with local organisations, deliver essential services, support jobs and keep communities connected.

Narrator: No matter where you live, you've never been more connected to Perth, your family or specialist health services, as we work to provide cheaper airfares and improve facilities at WA's regional airports.

Narrator: You don't have to be a tourist to get the most out of WA. We're transforming our coastline, improving facilities and recognising cultural heritage for better access and enjoyment for all.

Narrator: Whether boating, diving, fishing or surfing, if you're on the water our Marine Safety and Education team will be there too, helping keep everyone safe. These guys are off to Rotto.

Narrator: We're also helping to protect our coast from erosion by mapping changes, using technology to monitor tides and surf and making that data available to people who need it.

Narrator: And while it's rare, if something goes wrong, we're ready to respond quickly to oil spills in our state waters.

Narrator: We partner with others to improve regional rail lines, meaning our farmers can get more produce to market quicker boosting exports and growing our economy. There's a lot of Weet-Bix in that one!
