Western Australian drivers should be aware of scammers seeking to exploit licence holders seeking to claim the government’s Fuel Support Payment.
We are aware that scammers are calling drivers claiming they can assist them to apply for the Fuel Support Payment, if they provide their bank account details over the phone.
The State Government will not contact you directly by phone for assistance with the Fuel Support Payment, unless prior arrangements have been made with you.
If you do require assistance to claim the Fuel Support Payment contact ServiceWA Customer Care:
- Telephone: 13 33 92 (13 33 WA) - available 24/7
- Email: support@digital.wa.gov.au (monitored 8:30am-4:30pm weekdays)
The $100 Fuel Support Payment is now available for all eligible Western Australian driver’s licence holders to claim via the ServiceWA app.
All valid WA driver's licence holders, including learner's permit, provisional and extraordinary licence holders can apply.
The fastest and most convenient way to claim the payment is via the ServiceWA app. You will need to be logged in with your Digital ID and have your valid WA driver’s licence number and Australian bank account details ready.
Visit the ServiceWA app: Support hub for help to set up your ServiceWA app.
If you are unable or do not wish to use the ServiceWA app, there is an alternative online form and manual claim option available.
Please note, manual form applications will take up to 8 weeks to process compared to claims submitted via ServiceWA.

If you have added a driver’s licence block in DoTDirect, you will need to remove the block to obtain a Digital ID or claim the Fuel Support Payment through the ServiceWA app using their WA driver’s licence.
