Received a $0 renewal notice. Now what?

Categories:

How to/resources

If your vehicle (rego) or driver’s licence renewal notice has a $0 fee, we still need you to action it like you would any other renewal. This is to tell us that you wish to keep this licence/rego active and current.

You have multiple options to do this:

  1. Use our Pay Online option. Enter your customer reference number (found in the payment advice section) and follow the instructions. Note: You won’t have to pay anything!
  2. Receipt it on DoTDirect. Log into your DoTDirect account and follow the steps outlined in your to-do list.
  3. Call us on 13 11 56.
  4. Visit an Australia Post outlet.
  5. Visit us at a service centre or regional agent.

If you fail to do this, you could be found driving without a licence or an unregistered vehicle, resulting in additional penalties.

Why do you have a $0 renewal amount?

A $0 amount on your notice could be due to concessions applied to your account, adjustments (over or under payments) or industry related licences.
