Specialised trishaws to continue supporting the community

News article

The State Government recently gazetted renewed vehicle regulation exemptions for Cycling Without Age Australia trishaws.

These trishaws are specially built and do not conform to specific conditions under the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014.

The exemption ensures this inclusive service can keep helping members of our community to have unique bike riding experiences, sit back, relax, enjoy the outdoors and connect with each other.

Additionally, slightly wider bike widths have been supported to accommodate wheelchair compatibility.

Cycling Without Age Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that offers free, safe and comfortable bike rides to people with disability and senior members of our community.

The service is volunteer-led and in the past five years has provided rides to approximately 23,000 passengers at 14 locations across metropolitan Perth.
