Follow our step-by-step instructions on how to renew your driver's licence online. You can follow these instructions if you are not required to update your signature and get a new photo.
Your renewal notice will tell you if you need a new photo. If you are required to get a new photo, please visit an AusPost outlet or DTMI service centre.
- In the top righthand corner of the TransportWA website, click Online Services.
- Under Manage your account in the left column, click the Pay online option. You will be redirected to the DoTDirect Payment Lookup page.
- Enter your account number into the available field and click the Lookup Details button. You will find your account number at the bottom of your renewal notice.
- If you don't have your account number handy, click Account Lookup to search by your driver's licence number or vehicle plate number.
- Your account details will display on the screen. Here you will see the available driver's licence renewal options. Click Proceed to Confirmation.
- Your driver's licence number and expiry date will appear on the screen. If the details are correct, tick the confirmation box then click the Continue button.
- If the details are not correct, return to account details or get in touch with the team.
- If you wish to pay by debit or credit card, select the number of years you wish to renew for under payment options. Once you have selected the payment option, click the Proceed to payment button.
- Enter the details of the debit or credit card then click the Process payment button.
- If the payment is successful, you will be given a receipt number on the screen.
- You have the option to email or print a copy of the receipt. Enter your email address into the fields required and click the Email receipt button or print the receipt by clicking the Print Receipt button.
