Follow the step-by-step instructions to renew a boat registration when the boat is over 30 days overdue.
Step 1: Log in to DoTDirect
To reactivate an overdue boat registration, you must login to your DoTDirect account here.

Step 2: Navigate to the recreational boats page
Once logged in to DoTDirect, use the top navigation bar to navigate to the 'Recreational boats' page, which can be found under the 'Marine' drop down.
Step 3: Select expired boat
Click on the Boat Registration you want to renew - that has been expired for more than 30 days.
Step 4: Activate boat
Click on the ‘Activate’ button located at the bottom of the page.
Step 5: Review details. Add to trolley
Review the details displayed on your page and ensure they are correct, then click the ‘Add to trolley’ button which is located at the bottom of the page.
Step 6: Review details. Next.

Step 7: Tick check box
Review the details displayed on the page, ensure they are correct then tick the check box to indicate you have reviewed the details and they are correct.
Step 8: Proceed to payment
Click the ‘Proceed to payment’ button on the bottom right-hand side of the page.
Step 9: Enter credit card details
Enter your payment details, ensure all fields are completed and accurate.
Step 10: Process payment
Click ‘Process payment’ button, located on the bottom left-hand side of the page.
Step 9: Order complete
A confirmation of payment page will display when payment is successful.
You can download a receipt by clicking the ‘Download receipt’ button located on the right-hand side of the page.
Step 10: Confirmation email
A confirmation email will be sent to the nominated email address listed on your DoTDirect account.
