Follow our step-by-step instructions on how to request a payment extension for your traffic infringement.
You can request a payment extension if you were driver of the vehicle. If you were not the driver of the vehicle, follow our instructions of nominating the driver.
Nominating the driver- Follow the steps to login to DoTDirect or create a DoTDirect account.
- Once you are in DoTDirect, click on Infringements across the top screen in the blue menu.
- The list of infringements issued to you are listed below. This may include infringements you have already paid. Click view details on the infringement you wish to report.
- If the infringement notice fails to load, please check the details entered or the due date. If the due date has exceeded, a final demand notice will be issued.
- The offence details will display on the screen.
- If the infringement details are incorrect, please contact the Infringement Services team on (08) 9320 4444 or email infringementservices@transport.wa.gov.au
- Click Request payment extension.
- Read the important information about the payment extension. Once you have read and understood the information, click Request payment extension.
- Please note: You will be unable to pay the infringement until an extension notice has been issued to you.
- A final confirmation message will appear on the screen. Click Confirm.
- Your payment instalment request has now been confirmed. The issue date of the new extension notice will be the same as the payment due date shown on your original notice.
