Non-registrable vessels
Sailboards, kiteboards and windsurfers
Sailboarders, kiteboarders and windsurfers are subject to marine laws in WA. You’re responsible for the safety of your vessel and must follow safety equipment requirements; areas of operation rules; and collision rules.
Paddle craft
Paddle craft are canoes, kayaks, surf skis or similar craft that are propelled by a person using a paddle who is on or in it.
Paddle craft are required to carry safety equipment in accordance with WA’s marine laws.
