Applications must be submitted online via the Transport WA Grants system. Email and paper applications are not available and will not be accepted.

Online information session
The On-demand Transport grants team invite you to attend an online information session, to learn more about the Regional WAV Taxi Service Grant.
When: 1.00pm–2.00pm, Thursday 14 August 2025
Where: Online via Microsoft Teams
The information session will provide:
- an overview of the Regional WAV Taxi Service Grant for 2025-26;
- important information about updated eligibility and selection criteria; and
- an explanation of how to apply and the assessment process.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the grant. A recording of the session will be available after the event to those who registered.

How to apply
Applications for the 2025-26 round of the Regional WAV Taxi Service Grant will be open from 8.00am, 4 September to 5.00pm, 2 October 2025.
Applications must be submitted using the Transport WA Grants system. Email and paper applications are not available and will not be accepted.
The online application must be completed in full and submitted by the closing date, with all required eligibility and selection criteria supporting information. Late submissions will not be accepted.
To apply:
- Go to the Regional WAV Taxi Service Grant webpage. From 8.00am, 4 September until 5.00pm, 2 October 2025, you will find a link to sign into Transport WA Grants. If you have not yet created a free Transport WA Grants account, follow the prompts to do so.
- Once signed in, you will see a list of the available grant rounds. Select the round labelled: ‘Regional WAV Taxi Service Grant’.
- Some information in the application form is mandatory, including the request for supporting information. If these are not addressed, your application will be automatically deemed ineligible and not proceed.
Ensure that you set aside enough time to complete your application and provide all the required supporting information, with the necessary level of detail.
You can save your application at any time and go back to complete it.

Assessment process
When submissions close, all applications will be assessed against the eligibility and selection criteria.
The Regional WAV Taxi Service Grants Committee will evaluate applications and make recommendations for approval to the Minister for Transport.
The Committee consists of representatives from State Government agencies including the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI), and the Department of Communities.
Outcome
Applications are deemed either successful, unsuccessful, or unsuccessful (reserve list). DTMI will notify applicants of the outcome of their application via email and the Transport WA Grants system.
