WA Bike Month

WA Bike Month is Western Australia’s annual celebration of bike riding.

Taking place in October each year, WA Bike Month aims to promote and encourage people of all ages and abilities to ride bikes for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle. The initiative has run for over 30 years and continues to be valued by local governments and communities across metropolitan and regional WA.

As part of WA Bike Month 2023, a total of $75,000 in grant funding is available to local governments, workplaces, schools, bike groups and community organisations to host events that support and inspire people to give bike riding a go.

DoT contributes $50,000 annually for grants and this year, partnered with RAC, which contributed $25,000 towards the grant funding, making it the largest WA Bike Month to date.

Grant applications closed on 30 June 2023.
