WA Bike Month

WA Bike Month is Western Australia’s annual celebration of bike riding.

Taking place in October each year, WA Bike Month aims to promote and encourage people of all ages and abilities to ride bikes for transport, fun and a healthier lifestyle. WA Bike Month has run for over 30 years and continues to be valued by local governments and communities across WA.

Grant funding was available to local governments, workplaces, schools, bike groups and community organisations to host events that support and inspire people to give bike riding a go.

WA Bike Month is a Department of Transport initiative, supported by RAC and administered by Western Australia’s peak body for cycling, WestCycle.

In 2024, grant funding includes $50,000 from DoT and $25,000 from RAC.

Grant applications closed at 5 pm on Sunday, 30 June 2024. It is anticipated that successful grantees will be announced in August 2024. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@WABikeMonth) to stay up-to-date with 2024 grant information.
