The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) 30 Second Challenge campaign aims help skippers and passengers prepare to respond to an emergency while on board a vessel.
The 30 Second Challenge tests if you can get your flares, EPIRB, make a radio call and put on a lifejacket in 30 seconds.
DTMI Marine Safety Education Officers conduct the challenge at boat ramps and marine events around Western Australia with prize packs available for people who can successfully complete the challenge.
