Keys4Life program

The Keys4Life pre-driver program teaches school staff how to deliver pre-driver education to students in years 10-12.

Keys4Life aims to upskill young people with positive road user attitudes and an awareness about how to be responsible, safer drivers.

To deliver Keys4Life, teachers must attend a 1-day professional learning workshop.

Students who participate receive free learning resources and a certificate upon successful completion.

Students who’ve completed the Keys4Life program within the last 2 years, don’t need to take or pay for a Computerised Theory Test (CTT) when applying for a learner’s permit, as long as they present their Keys4Life certificate at the time of application.

They can also use their Keys4Life completion certificate as a Category C document as part of the identity requirements when applying for a learner's permit.

A Keys4Life completion certificate is valid for 2 years.
