A passenger transport driver (PTD) authorisation is an annual authorisation that allows an individual to operate a vehicle and transport passengers for hire or reward in Western Australia (WA). For example, if you are driving a taxi, rideshare or other charter vehicle.
If you currently drive, or plan to drive, a vehicle for hire or reward, you must hold a valid PTD authorisation.

Are you from another state?
To drive passengers for hire and reward in WA you need to hold a PTD authorisation. If you hold an equivalent authorisation from another Australian state, territory or New Zealand, you can apply for recognition of your non-WA PTD authorisation.
